Significant Words and Comments:
Commentary on Revelation 22:4 (1 September 2008):   “They shall see his face,” referring back to the previous phrase describing “His servants” who “will serve Him.” Yehuveh and the Lamb-king will be available to those who unite with them in covenant-relationship. In his craving to come closer to Yehuveh, Moses had asked to see His face. “He said, I beseech thee, shew me Thy glory. And He said, I will make all My goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of Yehuveh before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy. And He said, Thou canst not see My face: for there shall no man see Me, and live. And Yehuveh said, Behold, there is a place by Me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock: And it shall come to pass, while My glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with My hand while I pass by: And I will take away Mine hand, and thou shalt see My back parts: but My face shall not be seen.” Because of our rebellion against Yehuveh’s instruction, we cannot bear to see His purity, but when we have been fully restored to righteousness, all this will change: “He shall pray unto Elohim, and He will be favourable unto him: and he shall see His face with joy: for he will render unto man His righteousness.” “Yehuveh make His face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: Yehuveh lift up His countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.” “Elohim be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause His face to shine upon us; Selah.” Exodus 33:18-23; Job 33:26; Numbers 6:25-26; Judges 6:22, 23; 13:21, 22; Psalms 67:1. Also consider Genesis 16:13; 32:30; Exodus 24:10, 11; 33:14; Numbers 12:8; Deuteronomy 5:24; 34:10; Job 42:8, 9; Psalms 4:6, 7; 16:11; 30:5; 67:1; Isaiah 6:5; 33:17; 35:2; 40:5; Ezekiel 33:18-20, 23.

“His name shall be in their foreheads.” Every quality of Yehuveh’s instruction and wisdom has become the very thoughts of all those who have been preserved when “the wicked and godless” were removed from the earth. “Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put My spirit within you, and cause you to walk in My statutes, and ye shall keep My judgments, and do them.” Name represents the full dimensions of who Yehuveh is, every quality of His character and personality, as discussed in notes on Revelation 2:17 and 8:11. Forehead is the Scriptural word for mind and thoughts, as discussed by Revelation 7:3. Enoch 1:1; Ezekiel 36:25-27.
