Significant Words and Comments: Commentary on Revelation 21:19-20 continued (1 January 2008): This is just the beginning! Qabbalah offers us the qualities which go with these stones, and Isaiah 11:6-7 provide the animal signs which will tie the tribes to the twelve signs of Zadok: Stone Tribe Qabbalah Symbol Zadok Signs 1st jasper Judah unity c Yehuveh Lion Leo 2nd sapphire Issachar wisdom Bear Cancer 3rd chalcedony Zebulun understanding Lamb Gemini 4th emerald Ephraim knowledge Bull Taurus 5th sardonyx Manassah lovingkindness Cow Aries 6th sardius Benjamin sound judgment Wolf Pisces 7th chrysolyte Reuben balance, harmony Man Aquarius 8th beryl Simeon ambition, drive Ox Capricorn 9th topaz Gad respect, obedience Kid Sagittarius 10th chrysoprasus Dan perseverance Eagle Scorpio 11th jacinth Asher communication Old Lion Libra 12th amethyst Naphtali self-direction Leopard Virgo With these pieces in place, all kinds of quiet Scriptural mysteries open. Consider just these two: Isaiah 11:6-7 states: “[Mutable signs] The wolf [Benjamin] also shall dwell with the lamb [Zebulun], and the leopard [Naphtali] shall lie down with the kid [Gad]; [Fixed signs] and the calf [Ephraim] and the young lion [Judah] and the fatling [Dan] together; and a little child [Reuben] shall lead them. And [Cardinal signs] the cow [Manasseh] and the bear [Issachar] shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion [Asher] shall eat straw like the ox [Simeon].” Looking at just the Qaballic qualities, that is: “Sound judgment also shall dwell with understanding, and self-direction shall lie down with respect and obedience; and knowledge and unity with Yehuveh and perseverance together; and balance and harmony shall lead them. And lovingkindness and wisdom shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and communication shall be sustained on basics like ambition and purpose.” Looking at the corresponding twelve commandments or structures, that is: “Six days of labor also shall dwell with right worship, and rightly-directed passion shall lie down without adulteration; and no vanity and putting Yehuveh foremost and never stealing dwell together; and family honor shall lead them. And Sabbath-keeping and not making idols shall nourish the people; their offspring shall lie down together: and upright communication shall be sustained on the total purpose of preserving life.” Ponder that awhile. There are profound truths here.
