Significant Words and Comments:
Commentary on Revelation 21:19-20a expansion (26 August 2008):
The Seventh Foundation Stone
“The seventh, chrysolyte,” representing the seventh commandment [“Honour thy father and thy mother.” Exodus 20:12], therefore identifying the chrysolyte [G5555] stone as representing family honor. The corresponding Hebrew-translated stone from the breast-pocket is ligure [H3958]. (26 August 2008)
This solidified life-structuring commandment stone corresponds with the tribe of Reuben and the constellation Aquarius. The Jacob’s and Moses’ prophecies regarding Reuben are: “Reuben, thou art My firstborn, My might, and the beginning of My strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power,” which states, rightly applied, family honor will be our most visible evidence of having been elevated by Yehuveh. Within the family everyone sees us at our most intimate closeness and knows what we are at the very core. “Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel,” is, at these intimate levels, there is continual adjustment. Yehuveh cannot make this quality the issue of highest focus, for matters of the heart cannot be our guide in life decisions. Rather, allegiance to Yehuveh must be foremost, with wisdom and Sabbath-keeping holding a close second. Human relations, however honorable, cannot be our highest guides. “Because thou wentest up to thy father’s bed; then defiledst thou it: he went up to my couch,” states that, like Reuben, we’ve brought ruin on ourselves in this arena and cannot rely on our own guidance in this matter. Only as we make Yehuveh our highest honor can we rightly honor our families, either parents, siblings, or children. “Let Reuben live, and not die; and let not his men be few.” Nonetheless, family honor must remain one of our most valued qualities and must be preserved at any cost! Genesis 49:3-4; Deuteronomy 33:6.
There are three direct Scriptural references to Aquarius: Ezekiel 1:10, 10:14, and Revelation 4:7: “As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle.” “Every one had four faces: the first face was the face of a cherub, and the second face was the face of a man, and the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle.” “And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.” Face, in Hebrew, simply indicates “that which appear, that which may be seen.” Thus, Ezekiel states that one of the four primary constellations “has the appearance of a man.” The Sun is in Aquarius from approximately 20 January to 18 February, depending on the year. During this time we must re-evaluate our relationships and our response to authority. Parents as well as children need to reconsider all aspects of family honor and respect.
