Significant Words and Comments:
Commentary on Revelation 21:19-20a expansion (24 August 2008):
The Second Foundation Stone
“The second, sapphire,” representing the second commandment [“Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image.” Exodus 20:4], therefore identifying the sapphire [G4552] stone as representing absolutely no idol-making. The corresponding Hebrew-translated stone from the breast-pocket is topaz [H6357]. (24 August 2008)
The only corresponding references from Torah is Job 28:12, 19: “Where shall wisdom be found? and where is the place of understanding?” “The topaz of Ethiopia shall not equal it, neither shall it be valued with pure gold.” Idol-making of any sort [putting our opinions above Yehuveh’s instruction in the intense pursuit of wealth, the self-seeking of fame and recognition, or any efforts to wield power and influence over others] can never come close to equaling Yehuveh’s true wisdom—knowing how to apply His instructions to effectively live a life of prosperity and peace.
This solidified life-structuring commandment stone corresponds with the tribe of Issachar and the constellation Cancer. The Jacob’s and Moses’ prophecies regarding Issachar are: “Issachar is a strong ass couching down between two burdens,” should read, “Issachar is a strong light-emanator between two instructors. In the connection with Yehuveh’s twelve foundational commandments, this is stating, “Yehuveh’s command to make no idols in a powerful enlightenment linking the command to put Him foremost and the command not to worship any other alternative provider or protector. “He saw that rest was good, and the land that it was pleasant,” is, when we rest from all idolatry we will truly discover and enjoy prosperity. “Bowed his shoulder to bear, and became a servant unto tribute,” is, recognizing the exalted value of making absolutely no humanly-devised protection or provision, Yehuveh’s people will come to know the true value of bearing life’s experiences patiently and presenting back to Yehuveh every requested trust and dependence. “Rejoice, . . . Issachar, in thy tents,” presents the true joy which naturally accompanies such trust and reliance in Yehuveh. “They shall call the people unto the mountain,” is, those who fully reject every form of idol-making will appeal to everyone around them to rise to the heights of Yehuveh’s exalted righteousness. “There they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness,” in the exalted mindset of serving Yehuveh and trusting Him for everything, those who reject every false dependence will yield the only things appropriate for us to yield: self-dependence, self-protection, self-provision, etc. “For they shall suck of the abundance of the seas, and of treasures hid in the sand,” clearly states that the prosperity Yehuveh provides when we turn to Him in every reliance will bring us abundant, valuable returns. Genesis 49:14-15; Deuteronomy 33:18-19.
There are no direct Scriptural references to Cancer. The Sun is in Cancer from about 21 June to 22 July. During this time we have occasion to review our idol-making errors, and the awesome uplifting reward of redirecting our lives to live by unwavering confidence in and submission to Yehuveh’s every instruction.
