Revelation 21:14-10

Re-evaluation Translation:
(Repeating) 21:14 The protective structure around Yehuveh’s people is based on twelve foundation principles, defined as the twelve core structures of the Lamb-king.
Significant Words and Comments:
Commentary on Revelation 21:14 continued (20 July 2008): “The wall of the city had twelve foundations,” that is, twelve fundamental principles on which all the rest of the moral code is established. Torah presents these twelve commandments or foundation structures in Exodus 20:3-17 and Deuteronomy 5:7-21.
Explanation and Scriptural foundation of the tenth:
Structure #10: “Thou shalt not steal.” Exodus 20:15; Deuteronomy 5:19.

Significance: This boundary includes everything from shoplifting, embezzling, burglary, pilfering,
carjacking, and open theft, to kidnapping and human trafficking. All are destructive to peace,
security, and prosperity.
Notice that lying about something, whether it was found, loaned, or stolen, is also theft: “If a
soul sin, and commit a trespass against Yehuveh, and lie unto his neighbour in that which was
delivered him to keep, or in fellowship, or in a thing taken away by violence, or hath deceived his
neighbour; or have found that which was lost, and lieth concerning it, and sweareth falsely; in
any of all these that a man doeth, sinning therein: Then it shall be, because he hath sinned, and
is guilty, that he shall restore that which he took violently away, or the thing which he hath
deceitfully gotten, or that which was delivered him to keep, or the lost thing which he found, or
all that about which he hath sworn falsely; he shall even restore it in the principal, and shall
add the fifth part more thereto, and give it unto him to whom it appertaineth, in the day of his
trespass offering.” Leviticus 6:2-5.
Gossip, deception, guile, slander, backbiting, and every related behavior steals a man’s
reputation and ultimately his very life. This boundary excludes every such conduct from our
lives. “Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.” “I said, I will take heed to
my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is
before me.” “Wickedness is in the midst thereof: deceit and guile depart not from her streets.”
“The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment.” “Death
and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” “A false
witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall perish.” Psalms 34:13; 39:1;
55:11; Proverbs 12:19; 18:21; 19:9.
Yehuveh intended men to govern themselves under the boundaries of His righteous instruction—
the foundational twelve commandments, each with its twelve companion statutes and right
rulings (judgments). Under these circumstances there would be no overseeing government to impose
and collect taxes. Because of man’s corruption and rebellion, Yehuveh has permitted human
governments to bear sway, and they extract their livelihood from such devices as taxes, licensure
and regulation fees, and imposed fines. Nonetheless, such forceful demanding of resources from
others is robbery. The exploitation and waste of an elite few in government and corporations, who
advantage themselves on the labors of the masses, stealing not only their earned resources, but
their very lives, is as surely stealing as is the most petty shoplifting of a single item. Continued . . .
