Revelation 21:14-07

Re-evaluation Translation:
(Repeating) 21:14 The protective structure around Yehuveh’s people is based on twelve foundation principles, defined as the twelve core structures of the Lamb-king.
Significant Words and Comments:
Commentary on Revelation 21:14 continued (20 July 2008): “The wall of the city had twelve foundations,” that is, twelve fundamental principles on which all the rest of the moral code is established. Torah presents these twelve commandments or foundation structures in Exodus 20:3-17 and Deuteronomy 5:7-21.
Explanation and Scriptural foundation of the seventh:
Structure #7: “Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which
Yehuveh thy Elohim giveth thee.” “Honour thy father and thy mother, as Yehuveh thy Elohim
hath commanded thee; that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with thee, in
the land which Yehuveh thy Elohim giveth thee.” Exodus 20:12; Deuteronomy 5:16.

Knowing how crucial this foundational lesson is to all future life choices, Yehuveh presents
some astonishingly severe judgments for violation of this basic boundary: “If a man have
a stubborn and rebellious son, which will not obey the voice of his father, or the voice of his
mother, and that, when they have chastened him, will not hearken unto them: then shall his
father and his mother lay hold on him, and bring him out unto the elders of his city, and unto
the gate of his place; and they shall say unto the elders of his city, This our son is stubborn and
rebellious, he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton, and a drunkard. And all the men of his
city shall stone him with stones, that he die: so shalt thou put evil away from among you; and
all Israel shall hear, and fear.” “He that curseth his father, or his mother, shall surely be put to
death.” “He that smiteth his father, or his mother, shall be surely put to death.” Deuteronomy
21:18-21; Exodus 21:17 [Leviticus 20:9], 15.
What responsibility rests on parents to rightly guide their young children! It is not a casual matter,
in Yehuveh’s eyes. It is a matter of life and death for all eternity! Fortunately, in some ways at least,
we are not in a position locally or nationally to kill children for disrespectful conduct, but as parents
we still carry the heaviest responsibility to make sure our young people never transverse this path
of conduct.
