Significant Words and Comments:
Commentary on Revelation 20:5 (13 July 2008):  “But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years (days) were finished.” That is, the rest of those who have potential for responding to Yehuveh’s truth, outside of these developing leaders, do not come to understand His restored wisdom until after the first thousand days end on 30 June 2008. Lived . . . again is from anazao [G0326], used only here in Revelation, and meaning “to live again, recover life; to be restored to a correct life; of one who returns to a better moral state; to revive, regain strength and vigor.” Zao [G2198], the primary verb from which anazao is derived, means “to live, breathe, be among the living (not lifeless, not dead); to enjoy real life worthy of the name—active, blessed, endless in the kingdom of Yehuveh; living water, having vital power in itself and exerting the same upon the soul; to be in full vigor; to be fresh, strong, efficient, active, powerful, efficacious.” Rest, as the remainder or remnant, is used eight times in Revelation [2:24; 3:2; 8:13; 9:20; 11:13; 12:17; 19:21; 20:5] and discussed briefly in notes on Revelation 11:13; dead is discussed by Revelation 11:18.

“This is the first resurrection.” This is the first rising or arising. “Ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am Yehuveh.” Resurrection, used only in Revelation 20:5 and 20:6, is from anastasis [G0386] and means “a raising up, rising; a rising from the dead.” Context and timing indicate that this is a spiritual arising, not the physical resurrection of those who have loved and worshipped Yehuveh throughout past ages [which, as discussed in notes by Revelation 18:8, occurs 20 March 2009, nine months after this thousand days are ended]. These are the firstfruits, all who embrace Yehuveh’s instruction before the “four winds” are released on 4 August 2008 and the global trouble begins: Ezekiel 37:6, 9. Study the fuller picture of firstfruits in Revelation 7:1-8; 14:1-4, and Ezekiel 37:1-10.
