Re-evaluation Translation
12:9  The global socio-economic system was removed, that deceptive, slanderous, opponent of truth, which had deceived the whole world: it was cast out among those not committed to Yehuveh, and its instructors were also removed.

Bible, KJV Translation
12:9  And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Significant Words and Comments:
Commentary on Revelation 12:9 (26 February 2008):  “The great dragon was cast out,” thrown down, exiled, removed—forever! Cast out is from G0906.

“That old serpent,” is discussed in notes on Revelation 9:19.

“Devil,” is not a personal being but descriptive of those who slander and falsely accuse, as discussed briefly in the notes on Revelation 2:10 and extensively in the article The Great Red Dragon.

“Satan,” likewise, is not a proper name for an individual, but means “an adversary or opponent,” as discussed briefly in the notes on Revelation 2:9 and extensively in the article The Great Red Dragon.

“Which deceiveth the whole world,” or blinded or paralyzed all mankind. More than any other device of this global deception is Gregorian time-keeping, which Daniel 11:24 and 31 state will be among the first lies removed. This is a repeated theme in Revelation [see 13:14; 18:23; 19:20; 20:3, 8, 10].

“He was cast out into the earth,” among those not committed to Yehuveh. See notes on Revelation 5:13. “His angels were cast out with him.” Yehuveh will end this global system, including its spokesmen, politicians, corrupt media!
