Significant Words and Comments:
Commentary on Revelation 12:7 (26 February 2008):   “There was war,” from polemos [G4171], is any form of confrontation or conflict, from a simple argument to open and violent warfare. During the time that Yehuveh is gathering His people from among the nations He is carrying on warfare against all who stand against Him. The individuals who have accepted His anointing and assignment, who are rising up at this time, become the weapons He uses to bring down the nations. “Yehuveh of hosts hath sworn by Himself, saying, Surely I will fill thee with men. . . . Israel is the rod of His inheritance: . . . Thou art My battle ax and weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces [dash to pieces or scatter] the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms. . . . And I will render unto Babylon and to all the inhabitants of Chaldea all their evil that they have done in Zion in your sight, saith Yehuveh.” This war is for a single purpose, to remove all earthly governments and open the way for Yehuveh to establish His kingdom, set up His Lamb-king, and “to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most holy.” “The Elohim of heaven [shall] set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.” Jeremiah 51:14-24; Daniel 2:44; 9:24.

“In heaven,” involves a preposition which could be “in, on, at, with, by, or among.” This war is not being fought among those under Yehuveh’s protection, but between these righteous-loving people and those who hate Yehuveh and all that He stands for. This war is inevitable, unavoidable, necessary! “Ye that love Yehuveh, hate evil: He preserveth the souls of His saints; He delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.” The very instruction of the anointed instructors, opposed by the wicked, becomes the weapons of this war: “For the ways of man are before the eyes of Yehuveh, and He pondereth all his goings. His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sins. He shall die without instruction; and in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray.” Psalms 97:10; Proverbs 5:21-23.
