Revelation 9, Page 29

Re-evaluation Translation
9:19  For their power to self-govern is in their righteousness, and in true instruction: for their instructors were wise, and had clear insights to redirect others.

Bible, KJV Translation
9:19  For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt.

Significant Words and Comments:
Commentary on Revelation 9:19 (5 February 2008):  The mistranslation of these next three verses is astonishing. We must rightly understand this information; it’s crucial to our present decisions and immanent deliverance.

“For their power,” that is, restored Israel’s power of choice, their total liberty of doing as they please in righteous self-direction, as discussed in the notes on Revelation 2:26. “For it shall come to pass in that day, saith Yehuveh of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him.” “It shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.” “The tree of the field shall yield her fruit, and the earth shall yield her increase, and they shall be safe in their land, and shall know that I am Yehuveh, when I have broken the bands of their yoke, and delivered them out of the hand of those that served themselves of them.” See Who Governs You?. Jeremiah 30:8; Isaiah 10:27; Ezekiel 34:27.
        In what manner is
Israel’s total liberty of self-government “in their mouth”? Mouth is from stoma [G4750], a word James Strong says means “the mouth; the edge of a sword.” Then he adds: “since thoughts of a man’s soul find verbal utterance by his mouth, the ‘heart’ or ‘soul’ and the mouth are distinguished.” Revelation uses stoma 22 times, always as mouth [1:16; 2:16; 3:16; 9:17, 18, 19; 10:9, 10; 11:5; 12:15, 16; 13:2, 5, 6; 14:5; 16:13; 19:15, 21].
        In like manner
David distinguished between the mind and expressions of the mouth: “Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in Thy sight, O Yehuveh, my strength, and my redeemer.” “Give ear to my words, O Yehuveh, consider my meditation.” The workings in a man’s mind are broad and complex, but they give rise to expressed insight and instruction: “Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water; but a man of understanding will draw it out.” “The words of a man’s mouth are as deep waters, and the wellspring of wisdom as a flowing brook.” Righteous thoughts, which giver rise to uplifting words, redirect our lives and deliver us from evil. “The words of the wicked are to lie in wait for blood: but the mouth of the upright shall deliver them.” Psalms 19:14; 5:1; Proverbs 20:5; 18:4; 12:6.
