Revelation 4:1b
Revelation 4, Page 2

Bible, KJV Translation
(
Repeating) 4:1  After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.

Re-evaluation Translation
(
Repeating) 4:1  In the midst of these seven years I was shown the entrance into Yehuveh’s protection: and the first alert I heard was the sign in the heavens on the Feast of Trumpet, 5 October 2005, which said, Come up higher in your understanding, and I will show you things which must occur in sequence.

Significant Words and Comments:
Commentary on Revelation 4:1 continued (1 January 2008):
When you consider the entire scope of
Revelation, these five transitions are both fascinating and powerful, greatly simplifying the picture and clarifying the steps most significant to the accomplishment of Yehuveh’s purposes.

“A door was opened in heaven,” presents quite a picture. What is heaven that it would have an entrance? The Greek word ouranos [Strong's Greek Dictionary entry G3772] translated heaven is from the verb “to cover.” From this we get the concepts of the celestial canopy and the vault of heaven. Covering also communicates protection, security, and shelter.

Heaven represents Yehuveh’s protective covering over His people. The context of this phrase states that in the midst of this final week we enter this protection. This is exactly what the author of Revelation is stating! This transition represents a major turning point for all that happens for and to all of faithful Israel.
        The Greek word translated
door [entry G2374] indicates an entrance, but it comes from a verb signifying far more than entering. The root verb behind this Greek noun represents urgency: “rushing in, rapid passage into, that which is rushed through.” This is in full harmony with the rapid return of Israel to their homeland shortly after this, causing a rapid swelling of the land.

Voice is from a Greek word [G5456] indicating “sound, voice, speech, language, tongue, to shine, to make clear.” “The first voice which I heard was,” then, is simply “the first clarification given to me.”

“As it were of a trumpet talking with me,” in Greek is “according to an alert telling me.” The announcement of Yehuveh’s 1260-day special instruction, given on the Feast of Trumpets, 5 October 2005, emphasized and clarified His message. This key truth is the foundation for understanding all other aspects of this prophecy.

“Come up hither,” is simply, “Ascend to this place.” Understanding the significance of the heavenly sign of 5 October 2005 is an essential first step if we are to arise in understanding Yehuveh’s purposes and activities at this time. If we don’t arise from the stupor and confusion of the present world, we will never understand what Yehuveh is doing to restore His kingdom.
Yehuveh clearly stated that violating forces would be allowed to
“speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws” for “a time and times and the dividing of time.” Now that this “time and times and the dividing of time” is past, these experiences are also past. Daniel 7:25.
How can we value these matters if we do not
come up higher, very much higher, in our understanding?
        In
The Interlinear Bible, hereafter is taken from two Greek words meaning “midst” [entry G3326, as discussed] and “this, that” [G5023]. The phrase simply reads “in the midst of this.” The phrase, “I will shew thee things which must be hereafter,” correctly reads, “I will show you what occurs in during these years!”
