Revelation 3:11-13
Revelation 3, Page 8

Re-evaluation Translation
3:11  Behold, this Year of Returning (
Darius) will pass quickly: hold fast what you’ve achieved, that no man remove your righteous sound judgment.
3:12  Those who gain these restorations will be immovable supports in Elohim’s cause, and will never again leave it: and Yehuveh will engrave in them the name of Elohim, and the name of the city of Elohim, the new Jerusalem, which proceeds from His righteousness; and affirm his own new name [see
Revelation 2:17].
3:13  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Bible, KJV Translation
3:11  Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

3:12  Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

3:13  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Significant Words and Comments:
Commentary on Revelation 3:11 (11 December 2007): “Behold, I come quickly,” in line with similar expressions in Revelation 2:5 and 2:11, indicates that the opportunities for restorationduring  this year will quickly pass. Trust must be afirmed; this “is not a vain thing for you; because it is your life.” Deuteronomy 32:47.

“Hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.” Regarding holding fast, see note on Revelation 3:3. A crown [Strong’s Greek Dictionary entry G4735] is anything which entwines or encircles, especially something which encompasses the head. Job 29:14 describes the only crown we need to covet: “I put on righteousness, and it clothed me: my judgment was as a robe and a diadem.”

Commentary on Revelation 3:12 (11 December 2007):  “Him that overcometh,” is those who accept this year’s restorations.

“Will I make a pillar in the temple of my Elohim echoes Yehuveh’s words to Jeremiah: “For, behold, I have made thee this day a defenced city, and an iron pillar, and brasen walls against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, . . . and against the people of the land.” Jeremiah was to uphold truth with unflinching certainty, no matter who opposed him. So must and will we! Jeremiah 1:18.

“He shall go no more out!” This was the elevated privilege anciently afforded to the highest priest: “Ye shall not go out from the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, . . . for the anointing oil of Yehuveh is upon you.” Yehuveh now extends this high privilege to every one of His restored people! We’re IN with Him forever! Leviticus 10:7.

“I will write upon him the name of my Elohim.” Write is the Greek word to engrave. “The name of Yehuveh our Elohim” is engraved in us when He puts His “spirit within” us, causing us “to walk in My statutes, and . . . keep my judgments.” “Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart.” “My son, keep My words, and lay up My commandments with thee. Keep My commandments, and live. . . . Write them upon the table of thine heart.” Then “all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of Yehuveh.” Psalms 20:7; Ezekiel 36:27; Proverbs 3:3; 7:1-3; Deuteronomy 28:10.

“The name of the city of my Elohim, which is new Jerusalem,” the Jerusalem we now know, renewed, restored: “I am returned to Jerusalem with mercies: My house shall be built in it, saith Yehuveh of hosts.” Zechariah 1:16.

“Which cometh down out of heaven from my Elohim,” in Greek is more correctly “to go/come down [G2597] forth from [G1537] the covering [G3772].” Restoration of Jerusalem to purity comes from the only covering Yehuveh ever provides: “He hath covered me with the robe of righteousness.” Isaiah 61:10.

“I will write upon him my new name,” that is, the new name Yehuveh has given each person. The Greek word translated my alternately indicates emphasis. This affirms or emphasizes the name given in Revelation 2:17Write indicates certainty!

Commentary on Revelation 3:13 (11 December 2007): “He that hath an ear,” or “if you are able to hear!” “Let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches,” is “Listen to the messages for these seven years.”
