Re-evaluation Translation: 2:18 Give this message to the swelling year; These things says Israel, the Son of Elohim, whose insights are like intense conviction, and his steps are solid and reflecting light; 2:19 I know your doings, and love, and ministry, and faith, and your patience, and your doings now are more than those of ancient Israel. |

Bible, KJV Translation: 2:18 And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass; 2:19 I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first. |

Significant Words and Comments: Revelation 2:18-29: The message to the fourth Year of Returning (Darius): Swelling Year, 7 April 2008 through 26 March 2009, regards swelling—Israel’s increasing knowledge of Yehuveh and His wisdom, the swelling of their wisdom. Commentary on Revelation 2:18 (1 December 2007): “And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write” or more directly, “to the swelling year communicate this message.” According to Torah, “the Son of Elohim” is Israel, not Jesus. “Thus saith Yehuveh, Israel is My son, even My firstborn.” “When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and called My son out of Egypt.” “I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is My firstborn.” Exodus 4:22; Hosea 11:1; Jeremiah 31:9. Israel “hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire.” With anointed insight and intense conviction, at the beginning of this year Israel will rise up against all the nations to which they have been scattered. While flames of fire appear to represent strong personal emotion, there is much to indicate that they will also be far more physical. “The house of Jacob shall be a fire, and the house of Joseph a flame, and the house of Esau for stubble, and they shall kindle in them, and devour them; and there shall not be any remaining of the house of Esau; for Yehuveh hath spoken it.” Obadiah 1:18. Fourteen times Scriptures speak of flames and fire as tools of destruction for Israel’s enemies: Numbers 21:28; Psalms 83:14; 106:18; Isaiah 5:24; 10:17; 29:6; 30:30; 47:14; Jeremiah 48:45; Ezekiel 20:47; Daniel 7:9; Joel 2:3, 5. Also see note on Revelation 1:13-16 (5). Israel’s “feet are like fine brass” taking solid steps and reflecting light. As Ezekiel and Daniel state, “Their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf's foot: and they sparkled like the colour of burnished brass.” “His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in colour to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude.” Ezekiel 1:7; Daniel 10:6. See note on Revelation 1:13-16 (6). Commentary on Revelation 2:19 (1 December 2007): “I know thy works,” is Yehuveh’s opening remark in each of the seven messages. He knows what Israel is doing at every step they take during these seven years. “Charity,” affection, good-will, love, benevolence, is the Greek word agape [entry G0026], corollary of the Hebrew word ’ahabah [entry H0160]. This is the first time Yehuveh has acknowledged that Israel is responding to His love! As the nation is swellling in wisdom, they respond with deepest love and affection for Yehuveh. Long ago Yehuveh told His people, “I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.” Now in the fourth Year of Returning (Darius), Israel is responding! Jeremiah 31:3. Israel’s “service” is their ministry to Yehuveh, to one another, and beyond. Ezekiel 44 draws very clear lines between those who minister to Yehuveh and those who serve the people. Both are necessary, but only those who have not gone astray, when most of the people around them apostatized, will be called to minister to Yehuveh. Our choices now are determining how we will be able to serve later. “Faith,” see note on Revelation 2:13. “Thy patience,” see note on Revelation 1:9. “Thy works” “the last to be more than the first.” Restored Israel will so outshine ancient Israel as to be incomparable! Restored to Yehuveh’s wisdom during this year, they become a spectacle to the world. “His countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.” See the extensive note on Revelation 1:13-16 (10).
