Revelation 2, Page 12 | |||||||
Re-evaluation Translation: 2:12 The message to the third year, the year of gathering solidity; Yehuveh’s word will be separating His people this year. 2:13 I know your doings, and where you’re at, even where opposition dwells: and you hold fast to My name, and have not denied My faith, even when most deny that Israel—My faithful witness—still exists, thereby putting them out of the way among you, effectively accomplished everywhere opposition exists. |

Bible, KJV Translation: 2:12 And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges; 2:13 I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth. |

Significant Words and Comments: Revelation 2:12-17: The message to the third Year of Returning (Darius): Solidifying Year, 20 March 2007 through 6 April 2008, regards gathering solidity. Commentary on Revelation 2:12 (1 December 2007): “To the angel of the church in Pergamos write” in The Interlinear Bible simply reads “to message of gathering-solidity-named-entity scribe,” or more directly, “to the gathering-solidity year communicate this message.” “The sharp sword with two edges.” Psalms 149:6 speaks of a “sword with two edges” for executing “vengeance upon the heathen.” Thus Yehuveh will “discern between the righteous and the wicked.” Malachi 3:18. See comments on Revelation 1:13-16 (9). Commentary on Revelation 2:13 (1 December 2007): “Works,” whatever we are doing; see note on Revelation 2:2. “Where thou dwellest,” while potentially applying to returning Israel’s physical habitation, is more appropriately simply our vernacular “I know where you’re at.” Yes, Yehuveh knows where we are [Deuteronomy 2:7], where we were born [Psalms 87:4-6], even our thoughts [Psalms 94:11]. Physically or spiritually, He always “knows where we’re at!” “Even where satan’s seat is” refers back to the note on Revelation 2:9. Satan, any opponent or adversary, is well described in Psalms 1:1, “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.” Yehuveh is well aware that in this year His people were faced with considerable opposition and were the subject of intense controversy. So what! Right cannot overcome wrong without confrontation! “Thou holdest fast My name” expresses a depth of importance hardly realized by casually spiritual searchers. Yehuveh has restored the knowledge of and use of His name among those who are returning. Their deep reverence for Him and His name sets them apart from the world. “Therefore My people shall know My name: therefore they shall know in that day that I am He that doth speak: behold, it is I.” Isaiah 52:6. “Therefore, behold, I will this once cause them to know, I will cause them to know Mine hand and My might; and they shall know that My name is Yehuveh.” Jeremiah 16:21. “And I will sanctify My great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am Yehuveh, saith Yehuveh Elohim, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.” Ezekiel 36:23. “So will I make My holy name known in the midst of My people Israel; and I will not let them pollute My holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am Yehuveh, the Holy One in Israel.” Ezekiel 39:7.
