Revelation 1:18-20
Revelation 1, Page 16

Re-evaluation Translation
1:18  We are now alive, though we were dead; and, behold, we are alive for evermore, Amen; and we have the keys of hell and of death.
1:19  Write the things which you have seen, the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter [for they
“shall surely come to pass” 1 Kings 13:32];
1:20  The explanation of the seven smaller lights which you saw in Israel’s right hand, and the seven golden light holders. The seven smaller lights are the messages to the six Years of Returning (
Darius) plus the Sabbatical year: and the seven light holders you saw are these seven years set apart to restore Yehuveh’s covenant.

Bible, KJV Translation
1:18  I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
1:19  Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;
1:20  The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.

Significant Words and Comments:
Commentary on Revelation 1:18 (25 November 2007): Israel can now claim: “I am he that liveth, and was dead; and I am alive for evermore”
        In
Yehuveh’s message to the fifth Year of Returning (Darius) [the sequestering, honeymoon year of deepest intimacy with Yehuveh], presented in Revelation 3:1-6, the people of restored Israel are still “dead” because of their ignorance and pressed down condition. Psalms 143:3 well describes their condition: “The enemy hath persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground; he hath made me to dwell in darkness, as those that have been long dead.”
        By contrast, now coming into a knowledge of Yehuveh’s wisdom and instruction, restored Israel has come to life, and they will be alive
“for evermore”! Never again will they accept “lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.” Jeremiah 16:19.
        Yehuveh has said:
“Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set My sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore.” Ezekiel 37:26.
        When the drama is over, Yehuveh says of Israel,
Elohim shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” “What do ye imagine against Yehuveh? He will make an utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time.” Revelation 21:4; Nahum 1:9.
        Then
Israel having “the keys of hell and of death,” will quite literally throw away the key!

Commentary on Revelation 1:19 (25 November 2007): Here is the second command to “Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter.” Writing establishes a permanence and certainty to the thing written. These things will “surely come to pass.” See note on Revelation 1:11. 1 Kings 13:32 [compare Isaiah 14:24].

Commentary on Revelation 1:20 (25 November 2007): “The mystery” might better be translated, the explanation or the key.
        See
Revelation 1:16 regarding “my right hand.”

“The seven stars are the angels [messages or messengers] of the seven churches.” Stars, called “stars of light,” are smaller lights, smaller portions of information, as compared with “the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night.” “The moon and stars [are] to rule by night,” that is, in times of darkness and ignorance. These seven smaller insights are the messages of Revelation 2 and 3. Psalms 147:3; Genesis 1:16; Psalms 136:9.

“The seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.” From the notes on Revelation 1:4 and Revelation 1:11, these seven light-holders are seven years, the “week” Yehuveh will “confirm the covenant.” Daniel 9:27.
