Significant Words and Comments:
Commentary on Zechariah 8:20-21 (3 February 2009):   “It shall yet come to pass, that there shall come people, and the inhabitants of many cities: and the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to pray before Yehuveh, and to seek Yehuveh of hosts: I will go also.” The picture presented here of people from many nations coming to Jerusalem to learn of Yehuveh is a theme oft repeated throughout Scriptures. Many of these references are presented below, though this list is by no means exhaustive. However, Scriptures are also clear that there will be nations who refuse Yehuveh entirely, and there is nothing Yehuveh can do for them but let them have the results of their choices. “For the nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted.” Isaiah 60:12. Compare Isaiah 41:11; 54:15; Psalms 2:12; Daniel 2:35, 44, 45; Zechariah 12:2-4; 14:12-19
Study all of these passages to gain a grand respect for what Zechariah is stating here regarding the future response and education of many people from many nations:

2 Chronicles 6:32-33: “Moreover concerning the stranger, which is not of thy people Israel, but is come
                from a far country for Thy great name’s sake, and Thy mighty hand, and Thy stretched out arm;
if they come and pray in this house; then hear Thou from the heavens, even from Thy dwelling
place, and do according to all that the stranger calleth to Thee for; that
all people of the earth

may know Thy name, and fear Thee, as doth thy people Israel, and may know that this house
which I have built is called by Thy name.”

        Psalms 22:27
: All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto Yehuveh: and all the kindreds

of the nations shall worship before Thee.”
        Psalms 67:1-4
: Elohim be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause His face to shine upon us; Selah.
That Thy way may be known upon earth, Thy saving health
among all nations. Let the people
praise Thee, O Elohim; let all the people praise Thee. O let
the nations be glad and sing for joy:
for Thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern
the nations upon earth. Selah.”
        Psalms 72:17
: “His name shall endure for ever: His name shall be continued as long as the sun: and
men shall be blessed in Him:
all nations shall call Him blessed.”
        Psalms 117:1-2
: “O praise Yehuveh, all ye nations: praise Him, all ye people. For His merciful
kindness is great toward us: and the truth of Yehuveh endureth for ever. Praise ye Yehuveh.”
