Micah Explains
the Coming Destruction

Micah 1:1-7:20.

“Yehuveh’s voice crieth unto the city,
and the man of wisdom shall see Thy name:
hear ye the rod, and Who hath appointed it.”
Micah 6:9.

The book of Micah, when appropriately connected with the books of Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi, provide a prophetic timeline for the last six active years of this world’s history in the present age. This “closing story” started on 10 April 2005 and follows through the six Years of Returning (Darius) to 4 April 2011. Then follow two special years, the last Sabbatical year in this five-hundred-year cycle, from 5 April 2011 to 23 March 2012, and the final year of release, the grand final Year of Jubilee, from 24 March 2012 to 9 April 2013.

Haggai and Zechariah provide the time framework, with their frequent references to the Years of Returning (Darius) and to other specific astronomical markers: In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, came the word of Yehuveh by Haggai the prophet . . . .” “Upon the four and twentieth day of the eleventh month, which is the month Sebat, in the second year of Darius, came the word of Yehuveh unto Zechariah . . . .” “I lifted up mine eyes again, and . . . .” “And I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there . . . .” Haggai 1:1; Zehariah 1:7; 2:1; 6:1.
        The messages of
Micah, Zephaniah, and Malachi are then appropriately placed into this frame. Micah starts with verses describing the destruction of Israel and Samaria, which, while indeed there is an ancient application, prophetically describes events to take place in the very near future. This prophecy correlates with the events described in the visions of Haggai and Zechariah and predicted to take place between the final cleansing of Yehuveh’s leadership on 13 September 2007 and the Day of Vengeance following 20 September 2009. Haggai 2:10-23 specifically describes events to take place on 15 December 2006 [the second Year of Returning (Darius), the ninth month, the twenty-fourth day]. [For full explanation of how each of these dates are determined, study Section 5: Time regarding all aspects of Yehuveh’s time-keeping information.]
Yehuveh first gave warning of the dramatic coming events on
13 October 2006, the day before the Last Great Day of the Fall Rehearsal (Festivals) [the second Year of Returning (Darius), the seventh month, the twenty-first day], stating, “Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; and I will shake all nations. . . .” Then on 15 December 2006, He stated that the “little while” was nearly over, repeating the warning that He would soon shake all things, bringing down kingdoms and destroying armies and transportation, largely by civil war: “I will shake the heavens and the earth; And I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms, and I will destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the heathen; and I will overthrow the chariots, and those that ride in them; and the horses and their riders shall come down, every one by the sword of his brother.” Haggai 2:6-7, 21-22.
