(Darius)
Daniel 11:1-5
Daniel 11:1-45 Text, Page 1

Significance Translation:

Go to Daniel 11:1    1. In the first Year of Returning (Darius) to our pure freedom, the Iranian leader [Mahmoud Ahmadinejad] stood up defiantly to defend himself.

Go to Daniel 11:2    2. At this time your confidence in Yehuveh will make you stand out [or will draw you out of the mainstream]. Note, furthermore, [in the] third [Year of Returning (Darius)] powerful leaders will stand up with Persia [Iran], and [in the] fourth [Year of Returning (Darius)] growing increasingly insolent and vehement because of his wealth, he [Mohmoud Ahmadinejad] stirs up [awakens] the whole realm of Javan.

Go to Daniel 11:3    Another mighty sovereign [Kim Jong-II of North Korea also] increases in power and rules with great dominion and does as he wills.

Go to Daniel 11:4    And when he [Kim Yong-II ] increases in power, his government will burst [send out pieces (people, technology, and/or missiles)] and will [by this very act] cut loose the four winds of the heavens [global warfare, famine, oppressive governments, and pestilence], but his offspring cannot govern with his authority, and the scorching [of responsive international sanctions or possibly of nuclear attack] tears apart his government and infrastructure.

Go to Daniel 11:5    [Now] A [third] player, this time an international organization [the radical Islamic organiation, Al Qaeda] is strengthened and elevates one of its high officials [Osama bin Ladin] and rules with great and undisputed authority and global dominion.

Bible, KJV Translation:

Daniel 11:1  Also I in the first year of Darius the Mede, even I, stood to confirm and to strengthen him.

Daniel 11:2  And now will I shew thee the truth. Behold, there shall stand up yet three kings in Persia; and the fourth shall be far richer than they all: and by his strength through his riches he shall stir up all against the realm of Grecia.

Daniel 11:3  And a mighty king shall stand up, that shall rule with great dominion, and do according to his will.

Daniel 11:4  And when he shall stand up, his kingdom shall be broken, and shall be divided toward the four winds of heaven; and not to his posterity, nor according to his dominion which he ruled: for his kingdom shall be plucked up, even for others beside those.

Daniel 11:5  And the king of the south shall be strong, and one of his princes; and he shall be strong above him, and have dominion; his dominion shall be a great dominion.
