Significant Words and Comments:

Commentary on Daniel 12:12 continued (5 August 2009):
Isaiah spoke of this day in the counsel:
“Come, My people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. For, behold, Yehuveh cometh out of His place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity [rebelliousness].” Isaiah 26:20-21.
Habakkuk adds the certainty that these prophecies will be fulfilled:
“For the vision [Habakkuk 1] is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come.” Habakkuk 2:3.

“Cometh” is from a very different Hebrew word [naga`, Strong’s Hebrew Dictionary entry H5060: “to touch; to grasp or understand; to arrive at, to acquire”] than the usual reference to coming or going [bow', H0935].

“Blessed is he that . . . cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days,” is not only a statement of being blessed because we finally come to a specific time, but of being blessed because we understand the span of this “thousand three hundred and five and thirty days and know what we are to do in preparation for and during this time. Most people are indifferent to this information and will therefore fail to experience the blessing which it specifically provided to “the wise” who “shall understand.” Daniel 12:10
        What do
we know about this “thousand three hundred and five and thirty days,” that will permit us to embrace this blessing?

        (1)
We know it is the second part of Yehuveh’s answer to Daniel’s quesiton, “What shall be
                the end of these things?”
Daniel 12:8.

        (2)
We know that our First Key to understanding what this timespan is and where it is placed in
time is the link between these days and the
“thousand two hundred and ninety days” of

Daniel 12:11.
