Re-evaluation Translation: Daniel 12:1 And at that time shall those who choose to serve Yehuveh stand up, including government leaders, which take their stand for the children of thy people. And there shall be a time of great trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time. And at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one who has not withdrawn their name from Yehuveh’s book [of life]. |
Bible, KJV Translation: Daniel 12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. |

Significant Words and Comments: Commentary on Daniel 12:1 (26 July 2009): “And at that time shall Michael stand up,” rather than referring to a person or an angel, is speaking of the rising up of everyone who desires to be like Yehuveh—the final decision to serve Yehuveh that will be made by all those people who, having witnessed Yehuveh’s destruction of the massive armies of China, Russia, and their allies within the borders of Israel, now determine that they want to be on Yehuveh’s side. “The great prince which standeth for the children of thy people,” simply states that even high governmental officials in the various nations will take their stand beside Yehuveh’s people. “There shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time,” is the most powerful way to describe the final destruction of everyone who does not take their stand on Yehuveh’s side. Enoch describes this time in his first chapter: “The words of the blessing of Enoch, wherewith he blessed the elect and righteous, who will be living in the day of tribulation [the “time of trouble, such as never was”], when all the wicked and godless are to be removed.” “And the earth shall be wholly rent in sunder, and all that is upon the earth shall perish, and there shall be a judgment upon all. But with the righteous He will make peace, and will protect the elect, and mercy shall be upon them. And they shall all belong to Elohim, and they shall be prospered, and they shall all be blessed. And He will help them all, and light shall appear unto them, and He will make peace with them.” Enoch 1:1, 7-8. Indeed the time has come for Psalms 104:35 and Proverbs 2:22 to be fulfilled: “Let the sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more.” “The wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it.” Compare Psalms 1:4; 21:10; 37:20, 22, 28, 37-38; 52:5; 59:13; 68:1, 2; 73:27; 101:8; 119:119; 145:20; Proverbs 5:22, 23; 10:30; 11:31; Isaiah 3:10, 11; 11:4; 14:20-21; Jeremiah 25:31; Ezekiel 7:21; Exodus 20:5; Judges 5:31; Job 18:16-19; 21:30; 27:14; Revelation 19:1, 2.
