Significant Words and Comments:

Commentary on Daniel 11:43-45 (11 November 2007):  “But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him,” while it may refer to opposition from India and Europe, or some other similarly located countries, rightfully carries a much broader and more  powerful message.
        In Hebrew
east is from a word simply meaning the source of light and north is from a Hebrew word meaning concealed or hidden. The bold and arrogant decisions which motivated the Russian-Chinese coalition to rush over Israel’s borders [as described in Ezekiel 38:10-12] is evidence that they had no anticipation of Israel’s recently acquired knowledge of righteous alchemy wisdom.
Viewing the newly-formed nation as defenseless, these vast armies arrogantly rushed over Israel’s borders expecting an easy conquest. However, once they are within the borders of this restored nation they suddenly realize that they now face the same
“calamity” as the Canaanites faced when Israel first came into their promised homeland under Joshua’s leadership: “All these kings and their land did Joshua take at one time, because Yehuveh Elohim of Israel fought for Israel.” Ezekiel 35:5; Joshua 10:42.
“Therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many,” indicates the panic, treachery, and rage this army and it’s leaders now feel. Suddenly they are face-to-face with Yehuveh Himself!
“I will call for a sword against him throughout all My mountains, saith Yehuveh Elohim: every man’s sword shall be against his brother. And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone. Thus will I magnify Myself, and sanctify Myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am Yehuveh.” Ezekiel 38:21-23.
