the Six Years of Returning (Darius)
|Daniel 11:36, Page 3|
(Repeating) Daniel 11:36 And the [Lamb-]king does as He [Yehuveh] pleases, and he is exalted and magnified unto all strength [natural forces, the sciences] and unto all Qabbalic qualities, and He shall tell him marvelous things, and increase until the whole intensity of wisdom is completed, for what is decidedly appointed shall be accomplished.
Bible, KJV Translation:
(Repeating) Daniel 11:36 And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.
Significant Words and Comments:
Signifiicant Words in Daniel 11:36 continued (11 November 2007):
Shall speak marvellous things, the wisdom of this raised-up ruler so far surpasses that of others that, like with Enoch and Solomon, men gather to learn from him. This statement echoes 1 Kings 4:29, 34 “Elohim gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.” “And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.” “So king Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth for riches and for wisdom. And all the earth sought to Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which Elohim had put in his heart.” 1 Kings 10:23.-24 [2 Chronicles 9:22-23; also compare 2 Chronicles 1:12; 1 Kings 3:12-13; 4:30-31; 10:23-24; Psalms 89:27].
Against the God of gods, “unto strong strengths,” or “unto forceful forces,” most appropriately reads, “about Alchemy.” God of gods is the Hebrew phrase el Elohim. Spiritual aspects of El or Elohim were discussed in detail in the notes on Daniel 11:8. However, Daniel 11:36-37 carry a dimension only alluded to there: Yehuveh indeed has spiritual impact on us, but He also has physical strengths, forces, which dramatically affect our lives: gravitational forces, electromagnetic forces, electrical forces, chemical forces, nuclear forces, etc. The understanding of these physical qualities/forces include the sciences of physics, chemistry, and the currently little-known alchemy. This raised up leader, this Lamb-king, will communicate marvelous wisdom regarding alchemy and all the other physical sciences. El [H0410] is discussed above.
Against [from James Strong’s Hebrew Dictionary entry H5921], as discussed in notes on Daniel 11:24, is over, upon, unto, or above.
Prosper, succeed, tsalach [H6743], “to push forward,” is used only twice in Daniel 11-12 [11:27, 36].
Till, even until, `ad [H5704/H5703], is discussed in notes on Daniel 11:10.
Accomplished, completed, kalah [H3615], meaning “to end, to bring to an end.” Kalah is used only four times in Daniel 11-12 [11:16, 36; 12:7 (twice)].
Indignation, za`am [H2195/H2194], is noted by Daniel 11:30. Webster defines indignation to be “anger aroused by injustice or unworthiness.” Yehuveh has indeed been treated unjustly by humanity and His righteous anger warrants the judgments He sends on men.
Determined, decreed, from charats [H2782], properly meaning “point sharply; wound; be alert, decide.” Charats is used only here in Daniel 11-12.
Shall do, `asah [H6213], as discussed in notes on Daniel 11:3.
