Re-evaluation Translation:
Daniel 11:31 And armies join with China (Gog and Magog) and invade Israel’s safe haven [restored homeland]; also China removes the continual week [and all aspects of the Gregorian time-keeping system] and replaces the idolatry [the Christian Myth] that has paralyzed the world.
Bible, KJV Translation:
Daniel 11:31 And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.
Significant Words and Comments:
Commentary on Daniel 11:31 (10 November 2007): “Arms shall stand on his part,” presents in a single statement what Ezekiel 38:5-6, 13 details, that the armies of many nations unite with China (Gog and Magog, Mongolia): “all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company;” “all thy company that are assembled unto thee,” “all thy bands, and many people with thee.” Ezekiel 38:4, 7-9.
“They shall pollute [invade] the sanctuary of strength,” as Ezekiel clearly states: “In the latter years thou [Gog, China, and all their allies] shalt come . . . against the mountains of Israel.” Ezekiel 38:8.
“And shall take away the daily sacrifice [the “continual” week],” states that China now dictates the global replacement of the Gregorian Time-keeping System with the ancient solar-lunar calendar [in the same manner as Israel’s new king restored time in Israel (see Daniel 11:20), though for very different reasons than to confirm an allegiance to Yehuveh, for which Israel did so].
“And they shall place [replace, yield up, surrender, forfeit] the abomination that maketh desolate.” Though for self-serving reasons, China also abolishes Christianity at this time and seeks to force the world to do so also.
Signifiicant Words in Daniel 11:31 (10 November 2007):
Arms, from zerowa` [from James Strong’s Hebrew Dictionary entry H2220, from the primary root verb H2232], meaning “the arm; figuratively, force,” as discussed in notes on Daniel 11:6. Arms is simply force or strength.
Shall stand [H5975], to stand up, or to establish, as by Daniel 11:1.
Shall pollute, will profane, is from the primary root chalal [H2490], “to bore, to wound, to dissolve; to profane, to break (one’s word), to begin (as if by an ‘opening wedge’).” Chalal is predominently used in regard to physical death [translated slain 79 times], but it also conveys the spiritual concept of going to the heart. “Therefore have I hewed them by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of My mouth: and thy judgments are as the light that goeth forth. For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of Elohim more than burnt offerings.” This is the only use of chalal in Daniel 11-12. Hosea 6:5-6.
The sanctuary, miqdash [H4720/H6942] “a consecrated thing or place, especially a palace, sanctuary or asylum,” is derived from the primary root qadash [H6942] meaning “to be clean.” The prefix mi- [from or with] added to qadash indicates that this phrase should read, “from purity.”
Daily sacrifice, a totally inappropriate translation of tamiyd [H8548/from unused root meaning to stretch] which simply means “the regular, the continual.” Tamiyd is used only twice in Daniel 11-12 [11:31; 12:11].
