Re-evaluation Translation: (Repeating) Daniel 11:13 And Russia and China rally and raise a host greater than ever before or after, who will certainly come with great strength and accumulation of property. Daniel 11:14 And in these times, many stand up against the leader of the radical Islamic organization Al-Qaeda, and your [Daniel’s] people also rise up, in direct fulfillment of Yehuveh’s prophecy, and they are destroyed [not only for their rebellion at this time, but for their longstanding rejection of Yehuveh]. |

Significant Words and Comments: Signifiicant Words in Daniel 11:13 (5 November 2007): Return, turn back, from shuwb [from James Strong’s Hebrew Dictionary entry H7725] as noted by Daniel 11:9. For full explanation of “the king of the north” as the leader of the Russian-Chinese coalition, see the note following Daniel 11:6. Set forth, stand [H5975], to physically stand up, or to take a stand morally or militarily, as discussed in notes on Daniel 11:1. Multitude, a very tumultuous crowd, from hamown [H1995/H1993] meaning, “a noise, tumult, crowd,” as discussed in notes on Daniel 11:10. Greater and much are both from rab [H7227/H7231], meaning “abundant (in quantity, size, age, number, rank, quality),” is discussed by Daniel 11:3. Than, more correctly from in this context, is from min [H4480/H4482], properly meaning “a part of; from or out of,” as discussed by Daniel 11:5. Former is from ri’shown [H7223/H7221/H7218] meaning “first in place, time or rank,” and used only twice in Daniel 11:13, 29. After, qets [H7093/H7112], meaning “an extremity, an outer limit; used as an adverb to mean after,” as discussed in notes on Daniel 11:6. Certain, namely a specific one or this present one, is from `eth [H6256/H5703/H5710] meaning “time, now, when, etc.,” as discussed by Daniel 11:6. Years, plural in this Hebrew text, is simply cycles, [H8141/H8138] as revolutions in time are discussed in the notes on Daniel 11:1 and Revelation 20:2. Comes is from the primary verb bow’ [H0935], meaning either “to go or to come, be brought, enter, carry,” as discussed in notes on Daniel 11:6. Army [in reality is any strength and not necessarily a military force] is from chayil [H2428/H2342] meaning “a force; an army, wealth, virtue, valor, strength,” as discussed in notes on Daniel 11:7. Great, from gadowl [H1419/H1431], expresses largeness or excess, as “great, hence older, more powerful,” as discussed in notes on Daniel 11:2. Riches, equipment, is from rekuwsh [H7399/H7408], meaning “property (as gathered),” from a root which means “to lay up, to gather.” Rekuwsh is used only three times in Daniel 11-12 [11:13, 24, 28].
