|Daniel: Significant Events in
the Six Years of Returning (Darius)
|Daniel 11:13-14, Page 1|
Daniel 11:13 And Russia and China rally and raise a host greater than ever before or after, who will certainly come with great strength and accumulation of property.
Daniel 11:14 And in these times, many stand up against the leader of the radical Islamic organization Al-Qaeda, and your [Daniel’s] people also rise up, in direct fulfillment of Yehuveh’s prophecy, and they are destroyed [not only for their rebellion at this time, but for their longstanding rejection of Yehuveh].
Bible, KJV Translation:
Daniel 11:13 For the king of the north shall return, and shall set forth a multitude greater than the former, and shall certainly come after certain years with a great army and with much riches.
Daniel 11:14 And in those times there shall many stand up against the king of the south: also the robbers of thy people shall exalt themselves to establish the vision; but they shall fall.
Significant Words and Comments:
Commentary on Daniel 11:13-14 (5 November 2007): “For the king of the north shall return,” simply states that though subdued, Russia and China rally.
“Shall set forth a multitude greater than the former, and shall certainly come,” clearly states that after their defeat at the hands of the radical Islamic organization Al-Qaeda, Russia and China do not sit down quietly. Rather, drawing on the already-expressed anger of other affiliate nations, Russia and China act as the ringleaders to again marshal their forces, and others as well, into action against Al-Qaeda’s oppressive control.
“After certain years,” in context, “after these specific years” referring, as does Daniel 11:6, to the stated third [20 March 2007 through 6 April 2008] and fourth Years of Returning (Darius) [7 April 2008 through 26 March 2009] discussed in Daniel 11:2.
“With a great army and with much riches,” drawing on the combined resources of China, some of the OPEC nations, and many others, Russia and China gain not only numbers of people in their support, but the financial backing to sustain their resistance against the Al-Qaeda forces. “And in those times there shall many stand up against the king of the south,” opposing the actions and philosophy of Al-Qaeda.
“Also the robbers of thy people shall exalt themselves to establish the vision; but they shall fall.” Daniel is told here than the now extant nation of Israel will join in this rebellion, unwittingly fulfilling the very prophecies which foretell of their ultimate demise [Ezekiel 5-7; Zephaniah 1; Isaiah 24; Micah 1. “Now is the end come upon thee, and I will send Mine anger upon thee, and will judge thee according to thy ways, and will recompense upon thee all thine abominations.” “For her wound is incurable; for it is come unto Judah; he is come unto the gate of My people, even to Jerusalem.” Ezekiel 7:3; Micah 1:9]. And true to prophecy, they will fall and be destroyed at this time. Study the entire matter in All the Wicked Cut Off.
