Daniel 11:11-12b
Daniel 11:11-12, Page 2

Re-evaluation Translation:
Repeating) Daniel 11:11  And provoked, the radical Islamic organization Al-Qaeda shoots forth and battles with Russia and China and their gathered mighty host, but Russia’s and China’s host is given into Al-Qaeda’s hand.
Daniel 11:12  The mighty host is removed [by the forces of the radical Islamic organization Al-Qaeda], and myriads fell before the Al-Qaeda onslaught, but [in spite of this victory against a superpower] Al-Qaeda cannot prevail [in gaining their goal  of global control].

Bible, KJV Translation:
Repeating) Daniel 11:11  And the king of the south shall be moved with choler, and shall come forth and fight with him, even with the king of the north: and he shall set forth a great multitude; but the multitude shall be given into his hand.
Daniel 11:12  And when he hath taken away the multitude, his heart shall be lifted up; and he shall cast down many ten thousands: but he shall not be strengthened by it.

Significant Words and Comments:

Signifiicant Words in Daniel 11:11 (4 November 2007):
With cholor, embittered, is from the primary root verb marar [from James Strong’s Hebrew Dictionary entry H4843] properly meaning “to trickle; to be or make bitter,” used only here in Daniel 11-12. The leaders of Al-Qaeda are incensed and infuriated that their absolute global power should be challenged.
        For full explanation of
“the king of the south” as Al-Qaeda, see the note following Daniel 11:5.

Come forth, go out, from yatsa’ [H3318] meaning “to go (or bring) out,” is used only twice in Daniel 11:11, 44.

Fight with, as to battle or to consume, is from the primary root lacham [H3898] meaning “to feed on; to consume; by implication, to battle (as destruction),” is used only here in Daniel 11-12.
        For full explanation of
“the king of the north” as the leader of the Russian-Chinese coalition, see the note following Daniel 11:6.

Shall set forth, literally shall stand out, from `amad [H5975], to physically stand up, or to take a stand morally or militarily, as discussed by Daniel 11:1.

Multitude, [H1995], a very tumultuous crowd, as discussed by Daniel 11:10.

Great, rab [H7227/H7231], is discussed in notes on Daniel 11:3.

Given, nathan [H5414], is discussed in notes on Daniel 11:6.

Hand is from yad [H3027] meaning “a hand (the open one, thus indicating all that a hand can possess—power, means, direction, etc.; yad is in distinction from kaph H3709, the closed one).” Yad is used five times in Daniel 11-12 [11:11, 16, 41, 42; 12:7].
The final phrase here is ominous:
“the multitude shall be given into his hand.” The Russian-Chinese coalition superpower, including the huge army it has raised up, will be subdued by the power of the Al-Qaeda, but we can rest assured it will not be without considerable struggle. Ultimately, the global dominance of the Al-Qaeda is also going down, but not at the time of this encounter.
