Re-evaluation Translation: Daniel 11:11 And provoked, the radical Islamic organization Al-Qaeda shoots forth and battles with Russia and China and their gathered mighty host, but Russia’s and China’s host is given into Al-Qaeda’s hand. Daniel 11:12 The mighty host is removed [by the forces of the radical Islamic organization Al-Qaeda], and myriads fell before the Al-Qaeda onslaught, but [in spite of this victory against a superpower] Al-Qaeda cannot prevail [in gaining their goal of global control]. |
Bible, KJV Translation: Daniel 11:11 And the king of the south shall be moved with choler, and shall come forth and fight with him, even with the king of the north: and he shall set forth a great multitude; but the multitude shall be given into his hand. Daniel 11:12 And when he hath taken away the multitude, his heart shall be lifted up; and he shall cast down many ten thousands: but he shall not be strengthened by it. |

Significant Words and Comments: Commentary on Daniel 11:11-12 (4 November 2007): The reading of Daniel 11:11 demands careful adherence to the flow of the grammar: “The king of the south [the radical Islamic organization Al-Qaeda] shall be moved with choler, and shall come forth and fight with him, even with the king of the north [the Russian-Chinese coalition leader]: and he [the second actor, namely “the king of the north,” the Russian-Chinese coalition leader] shall set forth a great multitude; but the multitude shall be given into his [the first actor, namely “the king of the south,” Al-Qaeda] hand.” After Al-Qaeda and its allied forces had forced Russia and China into submission, in spite of the assistance of the other affiliate nations, Russia and China are unable to reverse this situation and are further humiliated by the force of Al-Qaeda. “And he shall capture the army, his heart being exalted,” clearly indicates the arrogance already evident in Al-Qaeda. Such arrogant indifference to the status or power of any affiliate nation has marked Al-Qaeda’s domination of their forces. Now with Russia and China subdued and their allies quieted,PAl-Qaeda’s heart is indeed exalted. “And he shall cause tens of thousands to fall, but not prevail.” The full significance of this phrase has two distinct aspects. First, unnumbered thousands will lose their lives because of Al-Qaeda’s affront against Russia and China, both in the warfare between these two opponents and in civil warfare between their supporters in many other places around the world. But secondly, and no doubt more importantly, thousands will lose their perspective, their courage, their desire for Yehuveh’s ways, and ultimately their moral freedom because of their fear of the viciousness of radical Islam. Having watched the conflict between a global superpower and this powerful international organization, they will conclude that they cannot withstand the strength brought to bear, and they will willingly or reluctantly yield submission, at the loss of all that is valuable in Yehuveh’s sight.
