Commentary on Enoch’s Second Vision
from the Book of Enoch, Chapter 90:1.

Text

The Scottish Accession of the Irish King-line
90:1  And I saw till that in the this manner thirty-five shepherds undertook the pasturing of the
sheep, and they severally completed their periods as did the first; and others received
them into their hands to pasture them for their period, each shepherd in his own period.
Commentary

Consistent with his premise,
R. H. Charles heads this section, “Third Period—From Alexander the Great to the Graeco-Syrian Dominion.” However, this series of thirty-five shepherds represent kings that reigned in Scotland from about 500 A.D. to about 850 A.D.

90:1 The seventy shepherds ended their work about 500 A.D. At that time Scottish leadership took the throne and lineage of Ireland and moved it to Scotland. Here the next thirty-five shepherds reigned:
(1) Fergus More -
       King of Argyll,
       Scotland
(2) Fiachra
(3) Fergus I
(4) Manius
(5) Dornadil
(6) Reuthar
(7) Edars (Edersced)
(8) Conaire the Great
(9) Corbred I
(10) Corbred II
(11) Modha Lamha
(12) Corbred Dalriada
(13) Eochaidh
(14) Findachar
(15) Thrinklind
(16) Finornack
(17) Romaich
(18) Angus
(19) Eochaidh
(20) Erc
(21) Fergus the Great
(22) Dongard
(23) Conran (Guvran)
(24) Adian (Aydan)
(25) Eugene IV
(26) Donald IV
(27) Prince Dobgard
       (Donregarth)
(28) Eugene IV
(29) Prince Findan
(30) Eugene V
(31) Ethafind
(32) Achaias (Ethas)
(33) Alpin
(34) Kenneth I -
       King of Scotland
       (Kenneth Mac Alpin,
       king of the United
       Kingdom of
       Scotland, A.D. 843)
(35) Constantin

According to Raymond E. Capt, “In 843 A.D., Kenneth Mac (son of) Alpin was crowned on the Stone Lia Fail as the first King of the United Kingdom of the Picts and the Scots.” This indicates that these thirty-five kings were Scottish rulers and the next twenty three, still Scotish rulers, served over the United Kingdom.
