14:14 And as I quaked and trembled, I fell upon my face. And I beheld a vision, 14:15 And lo! there was a second house, greater than the former, and the entire portal stood open before me, and it was built of flames of fire. 14:16 And in every respect it so excelled in spendour and magnificence and extent that I cannot describe to you its splendour and its extent. 14:17 And its floor was of fire, and above it were lightnings and the path of the stars, and its ceiling also was flaming fire. |

14:14 As Enoch weighed the value of Yehuveh’s purity and wisdom against the experiences and desires of his past, he was greatly humbled. This has been the experience of all who feared Yehuveh. “Abram fell on his face: and Elohim talked with him.” “Moses and Aaron fell on their faces. . . .” “Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship.” “Manoah and his wife . . . fell on their faces to the ground.” Ezekiel when he saw “the appearance of the likeness of the glory of Yehuveh . . . fell upon [his] face.” Genesis 17:3; Numbers 14:5; Joshua 5:14; Judges 13:20; Ezekiel 1:28. [Also see: Genesis 17:17; Exodus 3:6; Leviticus 9:23-24; Numbers 16:22, 45; 1 Kings 18:39; 1 Chronicles 21:16; Ezekiel 3:23; 9:8; Daniel 8:17-18; 10:9; Revelation 1:17.] It is not amazing that when we are humbled before Yehuveh He can then speak to us, reveal Himself to us, give us glorious visions! Rather than dread or fear such humility, we ought to crave it, seek it, and embrace it! Glorious revelations await us! We can only be lifted by falling upon our faces to the earth before Yehuveh! 14:15-16 Enoch 90:28-29 describes this second house: “And I stood up to see till they folded up that old house; and carried off all the pillars, and all the beams and ornaments of the house were at the same time folded up with it, and they carried it off and laid it in a place in the south of the land. And I saw till Yehuveh of the sheep brought a new house greater and loftier than that first, and set it up in the place of the first which had been folded up: all its pillars were new, and its ornaments were new and larger than those of the first, the old one which He had taken away, and all the sheep were within it.” This renewal, this restoration will be glorious. “Blessed be Yehuveh: for He hath shewed me His marvellous kindness in a strong city.” Psalms 31:21. Haggai 2:9 describes the same thing: “The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith Yehuveh of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith Yehuveh of hosts.” “Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise Yehuveh.” “Therefore thy gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring unto thee the forces of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought.” “Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth the truth may enter in.” Psalms 118:19; Isaiah 60:11; 26:2. [Also consider: Isaiah 62:10; Psalms 118:20; Ezekiel 48:31-34; Zechariah 8:20; Revelation 21:24.] 14:17 Without a Hebrew text, it is impossible to know for certain which Hebrew root is here translated floor. If it is Strong’s entry H1637: goren, “a threshing floor (as made even); any open area,” then it carries the concept of evenness, levelness, flatness. It could also carry the idea of a place for gathering the harvest, which would say that the harvest, those who return to Yehuveh with their whole heart, will be “ablaze” with righteousness, “on fire” with purity. Over this purified harvest gathering will be the restored knowledge of the communication Yehuveh placed in the movement of the planets among the constellations, also purified with burning clarity.
