Commentary on the
Book of Enoch, Chapter 5:7-9.

Text

5:7  But for the elect there shall be light and grace and peace,
And they shall inherit the earth.
And for you the godless there shall be a curse.

5:8  And then there shall be bestowed upon the elect wisdom,
And they shall all live and never again sin,
              Either through ungodliness or through pride;
But they who are wise shall be humble.

5:9.  And they shall not again transgress,
Nor shall thy sin all the days of their life,
Nor shall they die of anger or wrath,
But they shall complete the number of the days of their life.

And their lives shall be increased in peace,
              And
the years of their joy shall be multiplied,
              In
eternal gladness and peace,
All the days of their life.
Commentary

5:9
[10 July 2006] In the movie, My Life, with Michael Keaton, an experienced Chinese doctor tells Michael Keaton’s character that he is filled with anger and that forgiveness is the only path to healing. Refusing to forgive and allow healing, Michael Keaton’s character dies. How many of us are dying of “anger or wrath”? Never again will this take place.
