Commentary on the
Book of Enoch, Chapter 1:5-9.

Text

1:5  And all shall be smitten with fear,
              And the Watchers shall quake,
And great fear and trembling shall seize them unto the ends of the earth,
1:6  And the high mountains shall be shaken,
And the high hills shall be made low,
And shall melt like wax before the flame.
1:7  And the earth shall be
wholly rent in sunder,
And all that is upon the earth shall perish,
And there shall be a judgment upon all.
1:8  But with the righteous He will make peace,
              And will protect the elect,
And mercy shall be upon them.
And they shall all belong to
Elohim,
              And they shall be prospered,
              And they shall
all be blessed.

And He will help them all,
And light shall appear unto them,

And He will make peace with them.
1:9  And behold! He cometh with ten thousands of His holy ones
              To execute judgment upon all,
              And to destroy
all the ungodly :

    And to convict all flesh
              Of all the works of
their ungodliness which they
                     have ungodly committed,

And of all the hard things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.
Commentary

1:3-9 continued [16 July 2006 ]
It seems clear from Isaiah that we, as well as
Yehuveh, participate in the selection! Yehuveh brings us insights, but we must choose to embrace the information and become part of His selection by selecting to live fully by what He has taught us. One such insight in the time-keeping system based upon the movements of the sun and the moon, and in particular the keeping of Sabbaths by the phases of the moon. Enoch 41 speaks of the harmony of this system and Enoch 41:8 states, “The course of the path of the moon is light to the righteous, and darkenss to the sinners in the name of Yehuveh, who made a separation between the light and the darkness, and divided the spirits of men, and strengthened the spirits of the righteous, in the name of His righteousness.”
Without grinding on the point, it makes an eternal difference to us whether we chose to live in the light Yehuveh is bringing to us, and in particular whether we choose to keep His
Creation Sabbath at His appointed times. The promises to the elect hinge on the decisions we make regarding this and similar Yehuveh-given insights!
