Yehuveh’s Fifth Quality/Spirit/Strength: Lovingkindness

Chesed [H2617], meaning mercy, lovingkindness, love, impulse to give, outgoing care.

Chesed ties to Yehuveh’s fifth commandment: Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy,” “for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am Yehuveh that doth sanctify [make clean, elevate] you.” Every Sabbath is a “date” with our Maker, time set aside for Him to reveal His infinite love for us and for us to learn to love Him. It is a time for Yehuveh to redirect our ways, “for whom Yehuveh loveth He correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.” Exodus 20:8 [Deuteronomy 5:12]; Exodus 31:13; Proverbs 3:12.
In the elevating influence of regular time with Yehuveh, we will become compassionate, merciful, loving, tenderhearted, and in every way a blessing among men. Having enjoyed Yehuveh’s love and instruction, we will come from His
Sabbaths able to love and show compassion toward other people. “Yehuveh hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee” every Sabbath to enjoy the closest fellowship and instruction! Exodus 20:8; 31:13; Jeremiah 31:3.
