Yehuveh’s Fourth Quality/Strength: Knowledge

Da`ath [H1847], meaning knowledge, instruction, personal experience, everything which teaches us.

Da'ath, acquiring knowledge, corresponds to Yehuveh’s fourth commandment: “Thou shalt not take the name of Yehuveh thy Elohim in vain; for Yehuveh will not hold him guiltless that taketh His name in vain. Claiming to know Yehuveh yet not living by His instruction is claiming His name in vain. Living by Yehuveh’s instructions, we become a fit representative of what He made mankind to be. Living in any other manner both misrepresents Him and turns others away from embracing His instruction for themselves. Exodus 20:7;  Deuteronomy 5:11.
        Again, as with
wisdom, it is dismissed Quality 9, yir’ah [H3374], “the fear of Yehuveh,” which empowers us to gain right knowledge: “The fear [Quality 9: yir’ah, H3374] of Yehuveh is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” Before Yehuveh can rightly instruct us, we must willingly turn to Him. For this possibility he promises: “I will give them an heart to know Me, that I am Yehuveh: and they shall be My people, and I will be their Elohim: for they shall return unto Me with their whole heart.” “All thy children shall be taught of Yehuveh; and great shall be the peace of thy children.” Proverbs 1:7; Jeremiah 24:7; Isaiah 54:13. Also study 2 Kings 17:27,28; 1 Chronicles 28:9; 2 Chronicles 30:22; Ezra 7:25; Job 28:28; Psalms 111:10; 112:1; Proverbs 1:22, 29, 30; 5:12, 13; 9:10; 15:5; 18:2; Ecclesiastes 12:13; Isaiah 2:3; Jeremiah 6:13; 31:34; 42:1,8; 44:12; Ezekiel 34:30; Habakkuk 2:14.
        The eternal value of
da`ath is the access we will enjoy to the unending resources of Yehuveh’s infinite knowledge. “For Yehuveh giveth wisdom: out of His mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous.” Proverbs 2:6-7.
