“A Great Red Dragon”

First: Who is the “that old serpent”?
The first use of the word
serpent in the Scriptures is in Genesis 3:4-6, 13: “The serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For Yehuveh doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as Elohims, knowing good and evil.” Placing this deceptive argument above Yehuveh’s clear instruction, Adam and Chevah (Eve) acted directly opposite Yehuveh’s single command. When Yehuveh asked about their choice, Chevah (Eve) “said, The serpent beguiled me.”
        Was this
serpent a creature or the sublte workings of every human mind which concludes: “I shall have peace, though I walk in the imagination of mine heart,” rather than heed Yehuveh’s command to “walk in My statutes, and keep My commandments, and do them”? As with Adam and Chevah (Eve), “Yehuveh will not spare him.” From the beginning this deviant serpent has been lying and predicting false outcomes. Deuteronomy 29:19; Leviticus 26:3; Deuteronomy 29:20.
The Hebrew word used here for
serpent is Strong’s Hebrew Dictionary entry nachash [H5175], “a snake (from its hiss),” derived from nachash [H5172], a primary root meaning “to hiss, to whisper a (magic) spell; to prognosticate (predict and speak authoritatively of future events).”
        Many believe the
serpent is a single being regarded as Yehuveh’s archenemy, but according to Torah, snakes or serpents represent every person who hisses against Yehuveh’s children, everyone who is rebellious, underhanded, spiteful, and evil-speaking: “The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies. Their poison is like the poison of a serpent [H5175]: they are like the deaf adder that stoppeth her ear.” They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent [H5175]; adders’ poison is under their lips.” Have you experienced the pain or poison of such a person? Psalms 58:3-4; 140:3.
        In Hebrew the word
hiss, entry sharaq [H8319], “to be shrill, to whistle or call . . . in scorn,” describes the scornful secretive movements of men, as well as snakes: “All that pass by clap their hands at thee; they hiss and wag their head. . . . All thine enemies have opened their mouth against thee: they hiss and gnash the teeth.” A classic example of hissing comes from skeptics who witness Israel’s demise and prolonged captivity among the nations and whisper among themselves that “the lost ten tribes have disappeared from history,” that “there will never again be an Israelite global power,” that “even the Jews will eventually be destroyed from the earth.” All these predictions are but hissing of serpents, for Yehuveh clearly states that the remnant of Israel will confirm their covenant with Him and return to their ancient homeland. Lamentations 2:15-16. [See Yehuveh Will Reign over All the Earth.]
        During the
six Years of Returning (Darius) and the following Sabbatical Year, while Yehuveh is confirming “the covenant with many for one week,” their choices directly oppose and intensely anger this great red dragon, Pascal Lamy and the WTO. Placing Yehuveh’s word above Pascal Lamy’s decrees directly opposes his globalization goals.
Is it any wonder, then, that
Revelation 12:14-17 presents so graphic a picture of the conflict: “to the woman [the returning remnant of Yehuveh’s people] were given two wings [Yehuveh’s Torah and testimony] of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness [where few people choose to go], into her place . . . from the face of the serpent. . . . And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of Yehuveh, and have the testimony of the Yehuveh-freed anointed.” Daniel 9:27.

Serpents are liars and deceivers who promise what they cannot deliver! Such is Lamy and the WTO!
