ehuveh has promised that He “will do nothing, but He revealeth His secret unto His servants the prophets.” We must anticipate, then, that those who are serving Him wholeheartedly—all who are earnestly studying His written word and prayerfully listening to His guiding spirit—will know | ||||||
what Yehuveh is about to do on earth. He has revealed His purposes throughout His written word, each description to be brought forward at its appropriate time. Many of the Scriptural references describe events in the physical world, especially astronomical configurations, which mark the time when specific events are to occur or begin. Amos 3:7. The entire book of Revelation “reveals” events and experiences which occur within the seven years [errantly translated “seven churches,” Revelation 1:4, 11, 20] during which Yehuveh has promised to “confirm the covenant with many for one week.” Revelation 12:1-2, 5, taken literally, marks the time for very specific global-changing events to take place, events described in the remainder of Revelation 12. We must prayerfully consider each part of this mysterious symbolism until the obscurity slips away and Yehuveh’s “secret” is fully opened to us. Daniel 9:27. We must, to open this “secret,” identify “a great wonder in heaven,” “a woman,” “clothed with the sun,” “the moon under her feet,” “upon her head a crown of twelve stars,” “being with child,” and “a man child.” Once we understand each element, we will be able to identify a unique date designated by this combination of elements and open the revelation Yehuveh has placed here for us to understand. Identifying the Sign Identifier One: “A Great Wonder in Heaven” Each of the “wonders” of Revelation 12 appears “in heaven.” Which “heaven? Scripturally there are several uses of this word, including: the unidentified “heaven” where Yehuveh dwells [Ecclesiastes 5:2; Daniel 2:28], the starry “heavens” of astronomy [Isaiah 13:10; Ezekiel 32:7], the cloudy “heavens” of our atmospheric sky [Deuteronomy 4:11; Psalm 147:8], and the sometimes overlooked “heaven” of Abraham’s descendents, multiplied “as the stars of heaven for multitude.” [Deuteronomy 1:10; also see Genesis 15:5; Psalm 147:4; Jeremiah 33:22.] Gael Bataman Originally Written: 10 August 2005 Latest Update: 9 September 2009 Complete Study Guide to Article 8 Identifier Two: “A Woman” Identifier Three: “Clothed With the Sun” Identifier Four: “The Moon Under Her Feet” Identifier Five: “Upon Her Head a Crown of Twelve Stars” Identifier Six: “Being With Child” Identifier Seven: “Brought Forth a Man Child” Conclusion: “A Great Wonder in Heaven” has Occurred!
