Commitment to Return to Yehuveh’s Time

The New Moon begins on the evening of the last counted workday of each month and is the beginning of a Sabbath which will last two or three evening-morning days until the evening when the crescent moon, the New Moon, is first sighted and a new month begins. These two- or three-day monthly Sabbaths provide time to rest and plan and simply enjoy Yehuveh’s company and instruction.

How do you return to keeping Yehuveh’s Sabbaths and New Moons while we are still living in this presently Gregorian-calendar-dominated world? First by committing yourself to doing so in again confirming your covenant vow with Yehuveh, and then by making whatever changes you must make to be sure this covenant commitment is fulfilled.

Secondly, but taking whatever action is necessary to keep this commitment. For individuals who are self-employed, keeping Yehuveh’s Sabbaths and New Moons may simply require rearranging your schedule or re-considering what commitments to accept. For those who are employed by others, the commitment to Yehuveh’s time-keeping may involved requesting time away from your present job or resigning this job altogether and making Yehuveh’s Sabbath-New Moon schedule a part of the application process for new employment. No matter what fears such a move might raise, remember Yehuveh’s promises and assurances:  “Them that honour Me I will honour, and they that despise Me shall be lightly esteemed.” “Because he hath set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he that known My name.” “Yehuveh rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath He recompensed me.” 1 Samuel 2:30; Psalms 91:14. Also 1 Samuel 24:17, 20; Psalms 58:11; 91:9-10; Proverbs 11:18; Isaiah 49:4; 62:11.
You have no idea what Yehuveh will do when you unreservedly commit your life into His care and choose to live by His instructions. This transition is the reality of Jeremiah 30:7-9: “Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble, but he shall be saved out of it [literally, as a direct result of making this commitment]. For it shall come to pass in that day, saith Yehuveh of hosts, that I will break his yoke [the enslaving control of world systems] from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him [becoming rich on our labors and talents]; but they shall serve Yehuveh their Elohim.” We are wrestling to trust Yehuveh completely, and the assurance built into this very struggle is the same as that given to Jacob, that our deliverance lies in trusting Yehuveh enough to cry “I will not let Thee go, except Thou bless me.” This heart-transition immediately becomes part of something much larger that us, for when we choose Yehuveh’s ways, “Elohim shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear Him.” Genesis32:26; Psalms 67:6.

Pass On What You Know!
If you’re just learning these things, how can you encourage and assist others? Every one of us has much to contribute and we can always do very much for both ourselves and our friends and family. We can learn as quickly as possible and immediately share what we learn with anyone who will listen to us.

The whole-life-restoring power of coming into harmony with Yehuveh’s ways is an amazing reward so worth any effort it requires. Let’s each one take what we gain, learn all we can, and in every possible way both become all that Yehuveh intends us to be and share the blessing with anyone who will receive it!
