New Moon Days

Why Watch for a Crescent New Moon?
Greg had long been interested in astronomy, but this was not the motivation for teaching his
Original Astronomical Time-keeping Seminars. Recently he had become convinced that Genesis 1:14 presented Yehuveh’s original plan for keeping time, His original Time System, marked entirely by the movements of the sun, moon, and stars. “And Elohim said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, for days, and years.” In this conviction, he had developed his Seminar to present the workings of Yehuveh’s time system.
In Yehuveh’s time system the sun and the moon interact to mark the time, just as the long and short hands on a conventional clock express the “mechanical” hours and minutes of the day. Greg had come to realize that the crescent moon, or as it is called in Scriptures, the
New Moon, is the key which unlocks this entire time system, the single most important observable marker upon which all the remaining time-information relies. This truth had led to his discussion with Pamela about how to locate, observe, and understand the crescent moon.
The one thing that Greg had discovered teaching this
Seminar which had at first surprised him was the incredible conflict between Yehuveh’s very simple time-keeping the the presently-understood Gregorian time system. But when he gave this matter some thought, he realized it could be no other way. The apparent confusion created in this return to Yehuveh’s original time-keeping is caused by irreconcilable conflict between Yehuveh’s truth and the lies of the presently accepted Gregorian time-keeping system. Greg soon realized that for his students, and it had been for himself, once the commitment to this transition was firm and his students began anchoring on the astronomical month rather than the formerly-familiar Gregorian calendar, there was no more confusion. It quickly becomes exceedingly clear to each individual that it is the Gregorian calendar lie which is confused and causing the confusion!
        Then one evening in
Seminar, a student pointed out the capstone truth which made Greg more convinced than ever that he must teach these things. It began as a simple question, but ended with deep conviction. The question: “Greg, is this Gregorian time system what Daniel describes as ‘the abomination that maketh desolate’?” Greg initially shook his head, then stopped and just looked at his student. “Wow! I never made that connection before. Let me do some research on Daniel’s statement and we’ll discuss it further tomorrow night.” That brief exchange opened another door for Greg! Daniel 11:31; 12:11.

The “Daily Sacrifice” is Simply the “Continual”
The following morning when Greg went to research
“the abomination that maketh desolate,” he discovered that in both Daniel 11:31 and Daniel 12:11 where this phrase is used it is associated with “the daily sacrifice.” This made very little sense to him. However, when he took a closer look in the Hebrew Dictionary at the back of his Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance he found that this phrase was translated from the single Hebrew word tamiyd [H8548], properly meaning “continuance, constantly, regular,” or more simply, “continual.” Tamiyd was used in Exodus 29:42 to describe the continual burnt offering,” from which translators had assumed the phrase “daily sacrifice” in Daniel 11:31 and 12:11. However, on deeper research Greg discovered that of the 101 uses of tamiyd in Scriptures, it was translated continually 51 times, continual 27 times, alway(s) 10 times, and ever, perpetual, and evermore another 6 times. He realized that the five uses in Daniel [8:11, 12, 13; 11:31; 12:11], all translated “the daily sacrifice,” should all simply read “the continual.”
        Study all remaining uses of
tamiyd for yourself in the following verses: Exodus 25:30; 27:20; 28:29, 30, 38; 29:38; 30:8; Leviticus 6:13, 20; 24:2, 3, 4, 8; Numbers 4:7, 16; 9:16; 28:3, 6, 10, 15, 23, 24, 31; 29:6, 11, 16, 22, 25, 28, 31, 34, 38; Deuteronomy 11:12; 2 Samuel 9:7, 10, 13; 1 Kings 10:8; 2 Kings 4:9; 25:29, 30; 1 Chronicles 16:6, 11, 37, 40; 23:31; 2 Chronicles 2:4; 9:7; 24:14; Ezra 3:5; Nehemiah 10:33; Psalms 16:8; 25:15; 34:1; 35:27; 38:17; 40:16; 50:8; 51:3; 69:23; 70:4, 71:3, 6, 14; 72:15; 73:23; 74:23; 105:4; 109:15, 19; 119:44, 109, 117; Proverbs 5:19; 6:21; 15:15; 28:14; Isaiah 21:8; 49:16; 51:13; 52:5; 58:11; 60:11; 65:3; Jeremiah 6:7; 52:33, 34; Ezekiel 38:8; 39:14; 48:14, 15; Obadiah 1:16; Nahum 3:19; Habakkuk 1:17.
