|Section 5: Yehuveh’s Time System, Article 1
| By choosing allegiance to natural time-keeping we declare allegiance to Yehuveh; by electing to align with the artificial system, we clearly state that our allegiance is to men’s ways and openly declare that our G.O.D. is indeed human system of government and commerce, the “Good Old Dollar.”
Before you continue, consider what was just said. By your allegiance to a time-keeping system, you declare allegiance to its economic value system. Are you truly more willing to trust your earning power and the fickle systems of earthly commerce and finance than you are to trust Yehuveh’s promised care? “For Yehuveh Elohim is a sun and shield: Yehuveh will give grace and glory: no good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly.” “Choose ye this day whom you will serve!” The fearful fact is that “all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him [human time and finance systems], whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” And you? Are you written in Yehuveh’s Book of Life, keeping time Yehuveh’s way and trusting Him to care for you, or are you worshipping the beast by clinging to its calendar, clock, and dollar? Psalms 84:11 [also study Genesis 48:15; Deuteronomy 8:3, 4; Nehemiah 9:15; Psalms 23:1-5; 41:1-3; 84:11; 112:5-9; Proverbs 3:9, 10; 11:24, 25; Malachi 3:10]; Joshua 24:15; Revelation 13:7-8.
Contrasting the Two Systems
A comparison of the markers used in Yehuveh’s natural time-keeping system and the artificial and arbitrary time-keeping system of this current global marketplace makes this totally-separated-from-nature fact intensely vivid:
The Period Yehuveh’s Astronomical Marker The Gregorian Arbitrary Marker
Year Begins with Spring New Moon (near Vernal Equinox) Begins on January 1, mid-winter
Month Measured from New Moon to New Moon Designated by Gregorian Calendar
Week Begins counting seven day cycles with each New Moon Counted Continuously, Arbitrarily
Day Measured from sunset to sunset, visible events Measured from midnight to midnight
Holidays Scheduled by and counted from the new moons Scheduled to avoid all astronomy
in reference to the Vernal (Spring) Equinox except the Winter Solstice celebration
How Long Will This “Changed” Time-Marking Continue?
Yehuveh is very clear that this time-keeping conflict will be permitted to continue for “a time and times and the dividing of time.” This very statement raises several questions: (1) How long is a time and therefore “a time and times and the dividing of time”? (2) What is actually being stated in the original language? (3) Can we know when “a time and times and the dividing of time” began? (4) Can we know with certainty when this “time-keeping lie” will end? These questions must have honest Scriptural answers if we are to understand when Yehuveh’s time system will be restored.
(1) How long is a time and therefore “a time and times and the dividing of time”? Is a time a year, as most commentators state? Are you satisfied with the traditional three-and-a-half-years answer for how long this power will “think to change times and laws”?
Or are you willing to join another group of Scriptural students who assert that the year-for-a-day principle applies here, and who then go on to assume a year to be 360 days, and thus conclude that this prophecy extends over 1260 years?
From my research into both the Scriptures and Hebrew texts, I am convinced none of these points of view represent the statements of the original writings. Indeed, such conclusions merely represent guesswork and shallow research. There is far too much at stake here for us to suppose we know what Yehuveh is telling us.
