|Section 3: Health and Life Choices, Article 3
“The ransomed of Yehuveh shall return,
and come to Zion with songs
and everlasting joy upon their heads:
they shall obtain joy and gladness,
and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.”
|here is a single path to health regardless of where you start the journey: “Wherefore it shall come to pass, if ye hearken to these judgments, and keep, and do them, that Yehuveh thy Elohim shall keep unto thee the covenant and the mercy which He sware unto thy fathers: And He|
|will love thee and bless thee, and multiply thee: He will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which He sware unto thy fathers to give thee. Thou shalt be blessed above all people: there shall not be male or female barren among you, or among your cattle. And Yehuveh will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest, upon thee; but will lay them upon all them that hate thee.” Deuteronomy 7:15.
Returning to Yehuveh’s ways brings health. “Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. . . . Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour.” Health and long life are handed to us when we take Yehuveh’s wisdom and understanding and make it our way of life. “Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as Yehuveh my Elohim commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it. Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.” Proverbs 3:13-16; Deuteronomy 4:5-6.
What are the statutes and judgments which will bring us health?
Statutes Regarding Rest
“Six days thou shalt labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the Sabbath of Yehuveh thy Elohim: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou.” “Six days thou shalt do thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest: that thine ox and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the stranger, may be refreshed.” Deuteronomy 5:13-14; Exodus 23:12.
