Our very chemistry is changed by every negative thought, feeling, word, and action. We do not need poisonous qualities such as fear, confusion, guilt, shame, envy and jealousy, conceit, arrogance, bitterness, irritability, contention, or revenge in our lives and Yehuveh would take us away from all such hurtful experiences. Thus He appeals to us to “cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.” “Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear Yehuveh, and depart from evil.” “Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for Yehuveh thy Elohim is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” “Let my heart be sound in thy statutes; that I be not ashamed.” “Be not thou envious against evil men, neither desire to be with them.” Psalms 37:8 [Ecclesiastes 7:9]; Proverbs 3:7; Joshua 1:9; Psalms 119:80; Proverbs 24:1.
What’s Left? Praise and Thanksgiving to Yehuveh
Everything positive and beneficial and wonderful! “I will praise Yehuveh according to His righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of Yehuveh most high.” “Oh that men would praise Yehuveh for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men!” In Yehuveh’s strength, every one of us can make the choice to trust Him completely and to be cheerful and pleasant to the people around us. Every day we can live the truth of Isaiah 12:1-6: “In that day thou shalt say, O Yehuveh, I will praise Thee: though Thou wast angry with me, Thine anger is turned away, and Thou comfortedst me. Behold, Elohim is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for Yah Yehuveh is my strength and my song; He also is become my salvation. Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation. And in that day shall ye say, Praise Yehuveh, call upon His name, declare His doings among the people, make mention that His name is exalted. Sing unto Yehuveh; for He hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth. Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee.” Psalms 7:17; 107:8.
